What sound can't you stand?
I have dish network and there are times when I suppose the signal gets low and regardless of what I am watching the dialog gets real scary. When someone speaks on a program it sounds almost like monsters, like something out of an old Nightmare on Elm Street movie. Now, I am a fan of horror movies, but having that sound come from my television during the nightly news is a bit freaky.
It has been a while but I am back on Vox. I have decided to post articles and blog posts that have nothing to do with Empowerment Notes: Growth Project on Vox. I guess I will log all the articles I like to read through my RSS Feeds there as well. Take a moment to stop by.
When you were younger, were there any game shows that you religiously watched and wanted to be a contestant on?
Wheel of Fortune for sure.
For all you salesmen out there here is a pearl for your arsenal. This is probably very simple but yet very important to know and practice. In order for you to increase your sales double the amount of time you spend in front of prospects. I told you it would not be a revelation. This is something that I have known for years but have never taken as seriously as I should until now.
What magazines do you subscribe to, and why?
I only subscribe to Money Magazine. I guess this is obvious why because of the title.
What do you usually do on Sunday?
Usually I would just spend as much time as possible with my son. I also go try my best to go to church and worship. This Sunday I took Travis to spend time with his grandma. She was really happy to see him.
This past week Travis got glasses. It is so cool to see him look around now as though he is seeing everything for the first time. I will post some pictures of him in his new glasses soon.
Many times I have heard people say that they don't want to work for someone for the rest of their lives. That is a great way for us to look at our future and I do suggest working toward business ownership. However, in the meantime we should consider ourselves self-employed anyway while working for our employer. In the same way we would be in charge of our business we are in fact in charge of your career. We are where we are and who we are because of decisions we have made in the past. This will help us take more responsibility for our actions at work, make us better employees, and give us practice in accountability. If you fail at your job it is synonymous to failing in business. Can you handle this challenge?
